Adventures in Queen City

Issue #2
Welcome to A.E.G.I.S.

As the battle with the first members of the Lupewaffe came to an end A.E.G.I.S. agents arrive on the scene. Infinity Circuit quickly disappears to the surprise of the other heroes. Unbeknownst to them he was on the trail of strange figure clad in an avian themed costume. As Infinity Circuit closed in, the stranger ducked into a building and choking smoke began to pour out. Infinity Circuit was unable to track his target in the dense cloud and saving the inhabitants of the building took precedent. As the last of the tenants was dragged out, a single bolt of dark particle energy arced into the air to alert any heroes and A.E.G.I.S. agents nearby. Infinity Circuit then returned to the courthouse and assumed his secret identity as Al Darcy. The group of heroes were then introduced to a man Dr. Strom introduced as his graduate physics assistant.

In an attempt to determine what had happened that day, the heroes were questioned by their new A.E.G.I.S contact, Lt. Sarah Caldwell. It was immediately apparent that she cut an imposing and severe figure. She seemed unsatisfied with the lack of information, but thanked the new super group for their assistance in taking down the Lupewaffe. The team then accompanied Dr. Strom to his makeshift laboratory at Quark Industries and were informed that several key shipments of scientific materials would be arriving in the next few days. Among them were a shipment of super conductive fluid and matter from the super plasmoid. Finding themselves drawn into the situation by the events of the day, the team volunteered to assist with convoy security. Lt. Caldwell was unsure, but agreed to secure the necessary credentials.

The team was taken in the elevator to a secret sub floor beneath the Quark Industries building which housed the A.E.G.I.S. outpost in Queen City. The super team was then informed that they would need to submit to a brain scan to get fitted with the Titan Link technology. After a tense few minutes, Al Darcy volunteered to be the first to be fitted with this cutting edge piece of technology. After a bit of reluctance, the rest of the team submitted to the same procedure. When it came time for Vox’s scan, Caldwell was unable to complete the scan. Specialist technicians were called in to adjust to Vox’s angelic brain patterns. With their induction as the newest A.E.G.I.S. field agents complete the team retired for the night. They were told to meet at a non-descript airport parking lot at 0800 the next morning.

Early the next morning the team assembled and met their pickup in shuttle bus. As they got in, they were introduced to the gate agent. He informed them that they would be meeting the cargo plane at Queen City International Airport. The super team arrived as the super conducting fluid was loaded onto a specialized delivery cart. Two other carts accompanied it and the team loaded up with several A.E.G.I.S. agents. The convoy proceeded to an underground tunnel. Filth felt a tremor in the ground and alerted everyone through the Titan up-links. The team assumes defensive positions and Filth sinks into the ground to try and get a better read on the bearing of the tremor. Shortly, the tunnel explodes and a cloud of debris envelops the convoy. A blur and a massive monster made of stone and ice appears. The same mysterious figure that Infinity Circuit chased earlier also appears. In short order the A.E.G.I.S. agents are knocked out and the team is struggling to put a stop to the villains. Filth focuses on the earth monster, trying to use his powers to subdue the creature. TnT assists with the monster, but then takes on the apparent leader of the attackers. Evan is concentrating on the furiously quick Acceleratrix. Vox uses her angelic shouts on the attackers, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Al Darcy is struggling to balance his desire to help with his need to keep his identity a secret. His conflict leads him to be ineffective during the fight and the team is quickly finding itself overwhelmed. TnT, Evan and Filth are all knocked out. Vox attempts to heal them as the earth monster picks up the super conductive fluid. Darcy expends all his energy in a bid to stop the villains with a dark particle blast. His attempt fails and he loses consciousness. As Filth recovers, he encases Alpine in a prison of earth. The move is enough to stop the earth monster while Die Eule and Acceleratrix escape. However, as the two villains disappear down the dark tunnel, the encasement of earth begins to break apart…

A walk with Alpine

Alpine broke free of the rock that Filth had collapsed on top of him.

TNT approached the nine foot behomoth Alpine and seemed to be making headway when Filth unexpectedly attacked. Alpine reacted but it was Filth’s own words that calmed him down enough to listen.

The group was able to talk with him and discovered that he was the Chef (aka Cookie) on the USS Eldridge with TNT back in 1943 serving under Admiral Harrington Jr. His daughter was Accelaratrix. She had become critically ill and had no hope of surviving and they met a man who only went by the name, ‘The Doctor’. The Doctor promised he could help Cookie’s daughter Jennifer. He saved her life by doing tests on her that also imbued her with the speed powers that she now has. The doctor also did tests on Cookie that turned him into the rock giant that he is and cannot change back into human form.

Alpine had no idea that they were in the future and he told the group that The Doctor had said he was going to get them to the future.

The group convinced Alpine to join them in completing their mission to deliver the conducting liquid for the ultra plasmoid. They did this successfully, and met with Caldwell who dressed them down for not restraining and securing Alpine.

After much discussion when it seemed Caldwell was going to pull Alpine into Aegis to secure him or possibly imprison him, Al Darcy (Infinity Circuit) attending the mission as scientific aid and the usually quiet unassuming student gave a very convincing argument as to why Alpine needed to assist them on the mission.

As the group split to recuperate, Darcy decided to scope out the location of Die Eule’s last hideout (described by their new ally(?) Alpine). The warehouse was abandoned, but traces of the Lupewaffe were evident. Darcy found a note written in German (sie sind verlqssene “you are abandoned”) and Die Eule was nowhere to be found. A collapsed tunnel prevented any easy tracking of the villain and his accomplice Acceleratrix. Further inspection yielded another note with the name Strom and an oddly familiar address. Darcy took his new found lead back to the team at Tiger’s Trap.

Time N Time Again.

Basic Notes from Issue 1.1.h1. (Guys this is a rough take, lots missing so please edit or add as you see fit)

It has been months since the great rift / explosion occurred. Through the portal Evan Ellis and TnT were transported.

Vox has been stuck on Earth for some time after she was tricked by a demon. Filth traveled to Queen City from England in hopes that the elemental punk may feed his god, ___________ by finding fodder that may have come through the rift.

Infinity Circuit unbeknownst to the others has been working closely with and is the assistant to Dr. Strom.

Due to the damage the Super Collider had caused a hearing was called in which Dr. Strom would take the stand. TnT and a security team hired by Quirk Industries were to escort Dr. Strom safely into the courthouse. Large crowds had shown up for the much talked about hearing as well as AEGIS to give added security.

As Strom was being ushered into the courthouse, howls of wolves echoed throughout the city blocks coming from high above the rooftops.

Evan Ellis was the first to pinpoint that the shrieking was coming from on top of the courthouse and teleported to the roof where he discovered 3 werewolves wearing T-shirts with buttons, armbands and hip slogans.

Filth was the next to sense what was going on and quickly made his way up the many stairs to the roof where he and Evan Ellis faced the wise cracking beasts. Evan was unexpectedly knocked unconscious when he failed an attacked. Filth stood his ground and took one of the gang wolves on.

Vox, TnT and Infinity Circuit each made their way to the battle and joined the fight. It was easy to tell the good from the bad, even though none of the characters had never met.

Infinity Circuit and Vox took out two of the wolves while Filthy grappled with one on the edge of the rooftop. TnT was having no luck using his temporal powers and Evan Ellis still layed unconcious.

Vox eventually healed Ellis and awakened him as TnT gave the final blow to the last standing werewolf. No sooner had the fight ended and a riddle of gunfire rang through the air from below.

The group discovered a large group of werewolves had attempted to get into the courthouse but were turned away by the AEGIS soldiers. The final 5 wolves attempted to flee but Infinity Circuit took two out while Filth brought the remaining three to their knees by rumbling the earth beneath them.

TnT leapt from the building using his rocket boots and landing square on one of the wolves and used his chronal blast to incapacitate the 2nd. Vox flew down to assist and sang her angelic siren to deafen the final member.

Meanwhile, Filth and Evan Ellis tied up and interrogated the 3 captured werewolves on the rooftop. Ellis even banishing one of them to another dimension intimidating them and getting a bit of useful information from this lowly gang serving not a leader but the "white race’.

Vox and TnT found Dr. Strom wandering the streets looking for his assitant Allen who was lost in all of the chaos. The two heroes carried Strom to safety on the rooftop where they joined the others, only to witness the horrific interrogation continuing as Filth forced gravel down a bloody wolves mouth killing him. T

his fulfilled his gods needs to be fed. TnT quiping "looks like I just met the big cheese and I been swissed. "

more to come……
